Sometimes the Best Ideas Come From Listening
In 2025, Klir Online took part in the NBS Bright Programme at Nottingham Trent University Business School.
The session brought together business leaders, academics and students to explore how organisations can become more sustainable, resilient and future-focused.
What started as a learning opportunity quickly became something much bigger.
It became a chance to step back, challenge assumptions and think differently about the future of Klir Online.
Fresh Perspectives Create Better Businesses
One of the most powerful aspects of the programme was hearing directly from Nottingham Trent University business students.
These weren’t just classroom ideas.
They were fresh perspectives, honest observations and innovative solutions from the next generation of business leaders.
The students challenged organisations to think about:
• Sustainability and long-term impact
• Business resilience
• Social value
• Community engagement
• Innovation and future growth
• Environmental responsibility
• Purpose-led business models
For Klir Online, many of the discussions reinforced our belief that businesses can be commercially successful while creating positive social impact.
A Turning Point For Klir Online
As a purpose-led social business, Klir Online has always focused on helping organisations increase visibility and grow online.
However, the NBS Bright Programme encouraged us to think even bigger.
The discussions highlighted the importance of measuring impact, embedding sustainability into decision-making and ensuring growth benefits people as well as profit.
The programme strengthened our ambition to become a more sustainable digital studio that creates opportunities alongside commercial success.
What We Already Do
During the programme, Klir Online reflected on the work already taking place across the organisation.
This includes:
✓ Supporting student internships
✓ Creating volunteer opportunities
✓ Delivering digital skills training
✓ Supporting charities and CICs
✓ Promoting inclusive entrepreneurship
✓ Supporting underrepresented founders
✓ Building partnerships across Nottingham and the East Midlands
✓ Creating pathways into digital careers
The programme highlighted the importance of documenting and measuring these outcomes more effectively.
Turning Ideas Into Action
The biggest takeaway wasn’t simply learning something new.
It was identifying practical actions that can strengthen our impact moving forward.
The NBS Bright Programme helped shape a clearer vision for how Klir Online can continue growing as a social business while creating lasting value for communities.
