When Women Win, Communities Win

Across the UK, women continue to launch businesses, create jobs and drive innovation despite facing barriers that many of their male counterparts never encounter.

From access to investment and funding to confidence, visibility and representation, the journey into entrepreneurship is often very different for women.

That is why events like Momentum Valley Female Founders LIVE matter.

Held in Nottingham to mark International Women’s Day, the event brought together female founders, investors, business leaders and ecosystem partners who are committed to changing the landscape for women in business.

For Klir Online, it was an opportunity to listen, learn and capture the conversations shaping the future of female entrepreneurship.

A Room Full of Ambition

The atmosphere throughout the event was electric.

The room was filled with women building businesses, creating opportunities and challenging traditional ideas of what entrepreneurship looks like.

There were honest conversations about:

• Access to investment

• Business growth

• Leadership

• Confidence

• Representation

• Innovation

• Building sustainable businesses

• Supporting the next generation of founders

The message was clear.

Women are not lacking ambition.

What many need is access, opportunity, visibility and support.

The Funding Gap Is Still Real

One of the strongest themes throughout the day was the ongoing challenge women face when accessing finance and investment.

Despite the growing number of female-led businesses, women continue to receive a disproportionately small share of investment funding.

Many founders spoke about the importance of building networks, developing confidence and finding supportive ecosystems that help them grow.

These conversations reinforced the importance of organisations that actively create pathways for women to succeed.

Visibility Creates Opportunities

At Klir Online, we often work with women-led businesses, CICs and social enterprises that are doing incredible work but struggle to communicate their value effectively.

A common challenge isn’t capability.

It’s visibility.

Many female founders underestimate their expertise, fail to share their achievements or focus so heavily on delivering services that marketing becomes an afterthought.

The reality is that visibility creates opportunities.

Opportunities for funding.

Opportunities for partnerships.

Opportunities for growth.

Opportunities for impact.

Why Representation Matters

Events like Female Founders LIVE remind us how powerful representation can be.

Seeing women on stage sharing their experiences, successes and challenges helps others believe they can achieve similar outcomes.

Representation matters because people need to see what is possible.

For aspiring founders, that visibility can be transformational.

It can be the difference between pursuing an idea and abandoning it.

Between applying for funding and staying silent.

Between growing a business and playing small.

What This Means for Klir Online

As a female-led social business, Klir Online understands many of these challenges first-hand.

Our mission has always been about more than marketing.

It is about creating opportunities.

It is about helping people find their voice.

It is about ensuring underrepresented founders have access to the tools, confidence and visibility they need to succeed.

That commitment continues to shape how we work with clients, partners and communities.

Looking Forward

Female Founders LIVE was a powerful reminder that the future of entrepreneurship is diverse, innovative and collaborative.

The talent already exists.

The ambition already exists.
