In 2023, Klir Online had the opportunity to participate in the What Next Project, supporting mock interviews for Year 11 students preparing for their future careers and higher-education pathways.

This was in partnership with Futures Nottingham.

The experience was a reminder of how important confidence, guidance and exposure are for young people entering the world of work.

During the interviews, it was clear that the students had been well prepared and supported by the careers team. Their communication skills, ambition and professionalism stood out, showing the impact that the right support systems can have on young people’s development.

The project also highlighted the importance of representation in business and education spaces.

Young people benefit from seeing different career journeys, different backgrounds and different examples of leadership. Having businesses involved in these kinds of initiatives helps bridge the gap between education and the real world.

As Klir Online continued to grow, opportunities like this reinforced something important:
